COME IN
Freedom operate an open access Day Centre which offers a welcoming safe space where vulnerable people can find practical support and a genuine connection.
We offer hot food and refreshments during the Day Centre opening hours (Mon-Thurs 11:30-13:00). There is a multi-agency team based onsite, who are available to support you should you need help.
Support with food
We offer information about local food banks and may be able to provide emergency food parcels ourselves.
Clothes Bank
Our free clothes store is available if you need help with appropriate clothing or warmer clothes for winter.
People come to The Freedom Centre with a variety of needs and personal challenges. Our doors are open to people who are rough sleeping, sofa-surfing, vulnerably accommodated or at risk of becoming homeless. The Freedom Centre also offers support to people who are hungry and struggling with the cost of living, need advice or advocacy, or use of a computer.
No two stories are the same – but everyone who walks through our doors matters, and we’re here to offer practical help, real support and no judgement.
If you're facing homelessness, we're here — no appointment needed. Drop into one of our open-access sessions or call to arrange a one-to-one, whatever works best for you.
For those sleeping rough, we offer the basics that make a real difference: hot showers, laundry, fresh clothing, a postal address, and practical help finding somewhere to stay.
Everyone who comes to us is met with dignity and respect, exactly where they are. At The Freedom Centre everything is under one roof - mental health, physical health, addiction, and more — so that the help you need is easy to find. Whatever the challenge, we'll walk with you to a more positive future.
“My confidence has been boosted again. The people at Freedom encouraged me not to give up and that I would find my own place. Without the help of the Freedom Centre I don’t know what I would have done.”
This impact is strengthened through close partnership with a wide network of agencies who work alongside us in the building. Homelessness is rarely a single issue challenge, so bringing together organisations specialising in house advice, healthcare and community services ensures people receive co-ordinated, holistic help. This multi agency approach means individuals don’t have to navigate complex systems alone; instead they benefit from shared expertise and warm handovers between professionals who are committed to their progress. By working collaboratively we create real opportunities for change and help build a more inclusive resilient community where everyone has the chance to thrive.
