Support our work Other ways to support us We understand that not everyone who believes individuals sometimes need a hand to get their life moving in a positive direction can afford to make a regular donation to support us. Fortunately, there are loads of ways you can support our work! Fundraise or volunteer for us We have lots of fundraising ideas that people can try to help raise the money needed to carry on with the work we do. From extreme challenges to sedate coffee mornings, we’d love to help you fundraise for us and promote what you are doing on our Facebook and Twitter accounts to help you raise even more.Time is valuable too and we couldn’t do all that we do without our dedicated volunteers. If you’re looking for a great way to learn new things, meet new people or just make a positive difference to life in North Devon, take a look at our volunteer opportunities. In Memorandum and legacies It is not uncommon these days for people to ask for donations to a particular cause instead of buying gifts or sending flowers for important events such as birthdays or even funerals. In memorandum gifts and legacies left to us by people who have benefitted from our work, or their friends and family help transform lives and keep our work with individuals to find the best path for them to a brighter future going. We recommend speaking with a professional will-writer or solicitor if you intend to leave a legacy to us, and we are happy to help with arranging in memorandum gifts for important life events. Spread the word Letting more people know about the work we do to improve vulnerable individuals’ job prospects, employment opportunities, housing situations and providing addiction treatment services for those keen to make positive change in their lives by sharing our articles, appeals and campaigns on social media helps us raise more funds for our work and awareness of the issues we take action on. So keep an eye on our Facebook page and Twitter account and help us spread the word about what we do and how it helps people towards brighter futures in North Devon. Donations of food and non-food items Much of our work relies on donations of food, clothes and other items. These donations help us to provide food parcels, clothes and other items to people who are homeless, vulnerably housed or otherwise living in desperate situations and in need of help to get their lives back on track. There are some items that we are always in need of to help people in North Devon, both food and non-food items can make a real difference to the people we help. Vote for us Often supermarkets, large organisations and even banks ask people which charity they would like them to support over the coming year. So remember our work in Devon, and put in a vote for us!
