What will I be doing?

You will be assisting the Drop-in support staff by helping with the day to day running of the drop-in. This will include helping people to feel comfortable when they first come into the drop-in, answer the internal phone and help with issuing of clothes vouchers, food parcels and coordinating use of the shower.


How long are the volunteer shifts?

The drop-in is open from 12pm to 4pm, Monday to Friday so shifts are during the afternoon and will be around 4 hours long.


Who will I be working with?

You will be working within the drop-in support team.


What skills / experience do I need?

Being compassionate and non-judgemental with a positive outlook are essential qualities for this volunteer role. It is also expected that you will have an ability to adhere to our strict confidentiality/privacy policy and be able to work within professional boundaries. Experience of working with vulnerable adults would be advantageous however full training will be given.
